Former Nassau C.C. Football Player Jordan Jones Signs With Los Angeles Rams
Garden City, New York - Jordan Jones, graduate of Nassau Community College, has signed with the LA Rams as a free agent, marking a significant milestone in the former college football player's career. Jones first gained recognition for his exceptional talent as a defensive back while playing for Nassau Community College from 2017 to 2018, during which time he played a key role in the team's 2018 Bowl game championship win. After his impressive tenure at Nassau, Jones earned a full scholarship to the University of Rhode Island, where he continued to shine as a leader of the team, dominating in various defensive categories within the CAA.
With Jones' signing he is one of three former NCC Football players that are currently in the NFL with the others being Ian Thomas and Rasul Douglas.
Ian Thomas played for the Lions as a Tight End in the 2014-2015 seasons. Thomas would then transfer to Indiana University for the next two years, he would then be invited and play in the Senior Bowl. He would go on to be drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fourth round in 2018 where he currently plays.
Rasul Douglas played cornerback for the Lions where he recorded 83 tackles and five interceptions over the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In 2015, he transferred to West Virginia University. During his first season at West Virginia. As a senior in 2016, Douglas was named first-team All-Big 12 after he tied for the nation lead with eight interceptions.Douglas was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the draft in 2017 and would win the 2017 Super Bowl. He currently plays for the Green Bay Packers.
