Nassau Community College Football Finishes 2023 Campaign Ranked Fifth In The Nation
Garden City, New York - The Nassau Community College football team completed its 2023 season at home on Saturday against Division I Sussex County Community College. Despite falling by the score of 39-16, Nassau Community College retained the No. 5 spot in the latest NJCAA Division III Football Poll released on Monday. The Lions compiled a 5-5 overall record and defeated all NJCAA Division III opponents they faced during the season.

After appearing in the preseason national rankings at No. 5, Nassau reemerged in the poll on Nov. 6 following three straight victories.
Quarterback Yarden Gazit – who scored a rushing touchdown and threw for another on Saturday – finished the year in the national top 10 in passing completions, completion percentage, touchdowns, total yards, and yards per game.
Running back Kevon Hall finished second in the nation in total rushes, and kicker Thomas Zabransky was fifth in field goals made.
