Nassau Pulls Away With Region XV Golf Title

In the two-round Region XV Tournament held at Philip J. Rotella Golf Course in Thiells, NY last Friday, Nassau led runner-up Suffolk by 40 strokes to cruise to the championship.
The Lions' Chris Lambrou won overall with a 73 in round 1 and 72 in round 2. He led the field by 11 strokes over teammate Ross Moore, who edged out Suffolk's Patrick O'Halloran by one stroke to grab second place.
The top-five individual finishers outside of Nassau team members qualified nationally. In additional to O'Halloran, Westchester's Brian Crawford, Orange's Dan Pavlu and Marcus Cigna, and Sullivan's Brendan Imbarrato will compete at the National event June 7-10 at Chautaqua Golf Course in NY.
