Queensborough Takes The 2022 CUNYAC Community College Men’s Cross Country Championship

Bronx, New York – On Sunday, the Queensborough Community College men's cross country team competed in the 2022 CUNYAC Cross Country Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx against seven other Division III schools from the CUNYAC and three CUNYAC two-year schools. The Tigers men's team finished in first place with 18 points ahead of Hostos Community College, who posted 43 points.

Queensborough's Renaediaz Miller was the community college individual champion, finishing 14th overall in the 8k race with a tie of 32:31. Teammate Nickolas Pirovolikos finished in 33:20, followed by LeAndre Simpson in 35:20 and Peter Hoffmann in 36:28.

"I knew I had to finish the race," said Miller. "When you set your mind to something, don't stop until you reach that goal. I train every day, and I look at myself in the mirror and tell myself I'm going to be better. You have to be mentally and physically prepared."
