Monroe Mustangs Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Competes at Fasttrack National Invitational
Staten Island, New York - Another portion of the Monroe College Mustangs men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Fasttrack National Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The Mustang women competed in a number of field events on Friday. D'Jior Delisser jumped a season-best distance in the long jump at 5.43 meters. Alyssa Dyett followed her with a jump of 4.68 meters. Akayla Pickersgill was next with 4.51 meters in the event.
Pickersgill also competed in the high jump on Friday. She jumped a height of 1.50 meters.
Rahmat Showa-Olafatia made her debut in the shot put on Friday. She made a best throw of 8.97 meters in the event.
Yanise Gallo ran in the 800-meter run for the Mustangs. She finished the race in 3:37.29.
MEN'S RESULTS
The Mustang men had four athletes run in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash on Friday. Robensky Duffault ran a personal-best time in the 60m at 7.07 seconds before finishing the 200m in 22.93 seconds. Thomas Strouble finished the 60m in 7.63 seconds, and then ran a time of 23.38 seconds in the 200m. David Joseph ran his personal-best 60m time at 7.43 seconds, and did so again with a time of 23.91 in the 200m. Rafael Dayton also ran a pair of personal-best times, clocking in at 7.81 in the 60m, and then 24.59 in the 200m.
Ethanael Elliott competed in the 800-meter run on Friday, crossing the line in 2:25.54.
Zion Julien represented Monroe in the long jump. He registered a personal-best jump of 6.24 meters.
