Aleishka Diaz Earns NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Monroe University - Bronx sophomore Aleishka Diaz has been named the NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. The NJCAA made the official announcement on Wednesday afternoon which can be seen here. 

Diaz anchored the defense with a match-high 31 digs to help the Express earn a hard-fought victory on the road over Bergen Community College, 3-1, back on September 17.

This season, Diaz is averaging 5.26 digs per set. She has led Monroe – Bronx to a 4-2 overall record and 1-0 in Region 15 play so far this year.
