Sophomore standout Darren Lopez, of the Monroe University – Bronx men's volleyball team, was named to the NJCAA All-America second team. The NJCAA made the official announcement on Thursday afternoon which can be seen here. This marked the first year the NJCAA has released an All-America team for men's volleyball.

Three Region 15 men’s volleyball teams have earned bids into the inaugural NJCAA Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament: Nassau Community College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, and Monroe University – Bronx. It was announced during the NJCAA Selection Show on the NJCAA Network. The on-demand broadcast can be seen here. The entire postseason will take place at College of DuPage, in Glen Ellyn, Ill, on April 23-25.

For the second year in a row, the Nassau Community College men’s volleyball team captured the Region 15 Championship. The Lions earn an automatic bid into the inaugural NJCAA Men’s Volleyball Championship Tournament which will take place at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill. on April 23-25.
