Suffolk County to Compete in the JUCO Softball World Series Beginning on Wednesday

The Suffolk County Community College Sharks punched its ticket to the NJCAA Division III JUCO Softball World Series by defeating Community College of Rhode Island in both games of the Northeast District Championship Series back on May 9. The scores were 14-2 and 5-1. The contests took place at Winslow Field up in Warwick, R.I.

The top-seeded Suffolk County Community College softball team captured the Region 15 Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating #2-seed Dutchess Community College in the deciding Game 3 by a score of 14-2. The game took place at the Michael J. Grant Softball Field on the campus of Suffolk County Community College.

Dutchess and Suffolk County to Compete in Region 15 Softball Championship Series This Weekend

The Region 15 Softball Championship Series has been set. It will be a best-of-three series between #2-seed Dutchess Community College and top-seeded/nationally ranked No. 8 Suffolk County Community College. The winner of the series will capture the Region 15 Title and earn a berth in the Northeast Distirct Championship Series the following weekend.
Express and Falcons to Play Best-Two-Out-Of-Three Region 15 Softball First-Round Series Starting on Tuesday

The Monroe University – Bronx softball team will compete in the opening round of the Region 15 Postseason beginning on Tuesday afternoon. The #3-seed Express will take on the defending Region 15 Champion and #2-seed Dutchess Community College in a best-two-out-of-three series. Game 1 and Game 2 will be on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. The deciding Game 3, if necessary, will be on Wednesday at 3 p.m. All games will take place at Dutchess Softball Field.
