BMCC's William Fernandez Earns Region 15 Division III Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Month Recognition

NEW YORK – Borough of Manhattan Community College's William Fernandez has earned the selection as Region 15 Division III Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Month.

September was a productive month for Fernandez. The sophomore finished 10th overall and first among NJCAA runners in the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational 8k race on September 14, with a time of 30:10.9. The event was held at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y.

Two weeks later, Fernandez finished 41st overall out of 161 runners, crossing the finish line at the 34:38.74 mark, during the Queensborough Community College Invitational 8k run. That race took place at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx
