Region 15 Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament to Begin On Thursday

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Region 15 Division III Women's Volleyball Postseason is set to begin on Thursday evening. Eight teams will vie for the regional and district championships plus automatic berths in the NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball National Tournament. The two teams that advance to the regional title game will automatically earn spots in the NJCAA Tournament. 

Below are the four regional quarterfinal matchups that will take place on Thursday.

#8 LaGuardia Community College at #1 Nassau Community College – 6 p.m. at Nassau Main Gym 

#7 Queensborough Community College at #2 Fashion Institute of Technology – 7 p.m. at FIT Gym

#6 Orange County Community College at #3 Monroe University - Bronx – 7 p.m. at Monroe Athletic Complex

#5 Dutchess Community College at #4 Westchester Community College – 7 p.m. at Viking Gym

The winner of the LaGuardia-Nassau matchup will take on the winner of Dutchess and Westchester in the reginal semifinal round. The other semifinal match will be the winners of the Orange County/Monroe - Bronx and Queensborough/FIT contests. The two semifinal matches will take place on Saturday on the campus of Dutchess Community College at 12 p.m. The regional championship match will follow on the same day at approximately 2 p.m.
