Suffolk County Women's Soccer Captures Region 15 Championship

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Top-seeded Suffolk County Community College captured the 2025 Region 15 Division III Women's Soccer Championship by defeating second-seeded Nassau Community College, 8-0, at Mitchel Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon. 

Keira Maher netted three goals for the Sharks, while Julea Pinto provided two goals. Ana Onalan scored the official match-winning goal in the 12th minute and added two assists. Sophia Emr tallied a goal and a helper, while Courtney Vercillo added a goal of her own. Makayla Morganelli compiled two providers. In net, Alison Lane earned the shutout victory. 

Suffolk County now earns an automatic bid into the NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament which will take place from November 11 until November 16 at Herkimer College in Herkimer, N.Y. 

The NJCAA Selection Show will take place on Tuesday, at 5 p.m. eastern time., on the NJCAA Network. It will reveal the full NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament bracket.
