FIT Track & Field Closes Season with Multiple Top-Five Finishes at NJCAA Nationals

UTICA, N.Y. – The FIT Outdoor Track & Field team wrapped up the 2026 season May 7–9 at the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College.

Freshman standout Mikayla Numkena earned a pair of top-five national finishes for the Tigers. Numkena placed fifth in the women's 1,500m with a time of 5:16.77 before adding another fifth-place finish in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 1:14.97.

Elsa Marigliano delivered a season-best performance in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, recording a time of 13:39.97 to finish sixth overall nationally.

On the men's side, Ryan Parker closed out his season with a personal-best time of 11.84 in the 100m dash preliminaries.

FIT also turned in a strong performance in the women's 4x800m relay, as the quartet of Anika SeloverMayuri KumarElsa Marigliano and Mikayla Numkena placed fourth nationally with a time of 11:20.15.
