All-Region Division II Baseball Team Announced; Ryan Foody and John Greeley Earn Major Awards
The All-Region Division II Baseball team was announced by Region 15 on Thursday morning.
Ryan Foody of Rockland County has been named the Region 15 Division II Player of the Year. In 47 games played this year, Foody produced a .439 batting average, hit five home runs, scored 54 times, drove in 44 runs, drilled 19 extra-base hits, and worked 52 walks. The first baseman was also named the Most Valuable Player of the Region 15 Division II Baseball Tournament after leading the Hawks to the regional championship.
John Greeley of the Hawks was awarded Region 15 Division II Coach of the Year honors. He guided the Hawks to a 30-17-1 overall record and the Region 15 Division II Championship. Greeley helped Rockland clinch a berth in the East District Tournament which will begin on Friday, May 16.
