Suffolk Sweeps Region XV Bowling Titles Once Again
Suffolk's men and women dominated the 2018 Region XV bowling tournament, with the men grabbing a 717 pin lead over second place Westchester and the women leading Rockland by an astounding 1,623 pins.
Individually,Suffolk's Steve Welsh, Ryan DiMaggio and Salvatore Yannacone placed top three for all-events. Yannacone and Justin Zuber grabbed the doubles title with a 719 series, while Rockland's Eric Dollapac earned Singles honors.
On the women's side, Suffolk's five bowlers placed top 5 with Brianna McGuire leading the way in all-events. Suffolk also swept doubles and singles competition.
Both teams will now turn their attention to the NJCAA tournament, which will be held March 1-3 in Cheektowaga, NY.
