Guerrah Becomes First NJCAA Qualifier for Monroe Mustangs Men’s Track and Field Highlight STAC Spartan Invite

Staten Island, New York - After an outstanding performance at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartan Invite at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Monroe College Men's Track and Field's Mehdi Guerrah became the first Mustang to qualify for the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Guerrah became the first Mustang to earn his spot at the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Championships when he earned a qualifying time for the 600-meter run in Friday's 500-meter dash event. He ran a 500m time of 1:04.37, which converts to a time of 1:21.11 for the 600m, which beat the NJCAA qualifying standard for the event. Guerrah finished second overall out of 38 finishers in the event.
