Suffolk’s Kayla Coq Wins 2024 NJCAA Division III Women’s Long Jump National Championship

Utica, New York - Suffolk Community College field competitor Kayla Coq won the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women's Long Jump National Championship at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Utica, New York. Her efforts also earned her 2024 NJCAA Division III All-American First Team honors for the Long Jump.

Coq grabbed the National Title crown with a personal best mark of 5.38 meters in the Long Jump, defeating 13 other top competitors from around the country, including her teammate Aaliyah Shorter, who finished fourth in the event.

Coq also just missed another All-American selection in the women's 100 meters by one spot and finished fourth with a personal best time of 12.68.
