EPHRAIM, Utah, November 12, 2022 – The Mustangs' defense made its presence known in front of a national audience on Saturday, as the Monroe College football team took on No. 5 Snow College at Terry Foote Stadium in the NJCAA Game of the Week on ESPN+. The defense took the ball away five times in the game, but it was ultimately not enough to upset the highly ranked Badgers, who picked up a 34-14 win. The Mustangs fall to 3-5 overall, while the Badgers improve to 7-2 as they make a push for the NJCAA Football Playoff.

UNIONDALE, N.Y., September 17, 2022 – Things clicked on all cylinders for the Monroe College Mustangs football team on Saturday in a 23-7 victory over NJCAA Div. III No. 2 Nassau Community College at the Mitchel Athletic Complex. The win improves the Mustangs to 1-2 overall, while the Lions fall to 2-2 on the season. The win also marks the first of Head Coach Kevin Pulley Jr.'s tenure at the helm of the program.

Monroe College has announced that Kevin Pulley Jr. has been elevated to head coach of the Monroe College football team, becoming the second head coach in the history of the Mustangs football program. Pulley succeeds Terry Karg, who started the program from scratch and coached the Mustangs for 10 years.

History was made late Tuesday afternoon for the Monroe College football team, as the Mustangs had three student-athletes named to the 2021 NJCAA Football Division I All-America Team, as announced by the NJCAA. Offensive lineman Kadeem Willis, linebacker Zharell Walker and defensive lineman Douglas Blue-Eli were all selected to the NJCAA All-America Second Team, marking the most All-Americans in a single-season in the program's history.

Making their second appearance at The Graphic Edge Bowl, and third straight trip to an NJCAA bowl game, the No. 6-ranked Monroe College Mustangs football team showed significant improvement from their last trip to Cedar Falls, but fell just short in a back-and-forth battle with No. 10 Iowa Central Community College, dropping a 35-27 final to the Tritons Sunday afternoon at the UNI Dome.

The Lions who were for most of the season the DIII #1 ranked team in the nation until they eventually went down to being the #3 ranked team. However, they were selected to play in the 2021 NJCAA Division III Football Championship at the Red Grange Bowl game in Glen Ellyn, IL. The Lions were set to face the #1 ranked College of Dupage Chaparrals, a rematch of their regular season matchup that saw the Lions win 17-15.
